Postgraduate (MSc) Programs in Sanitation

In partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, IHE Delft has launched a new Master of Science Program in Sanitation in 2018. Since 2019, the Delft-based program is being adopted by in excess to 40 universities in Asia, Africa and Latin America under the framework of the Global Sanitation Graduate School. As soon as the new program transfers take place and becomes available at more partner institutions, it will be announced on this website. Besides this new MSc program, the Global Sanitation Graduate School is intended to include any other program that focuses primarily, or at least in a substantial part, on city-wide inclusive sanitation (CWIS) including non-sewered sanitation (NSS) and faecal sludge management (FSM). Please note that the actual enrollment on a Master program can only take place via the institutions' official websites and associated application procedures. The links are provided below.

    Programs on offer

Until recently, the Delft-based Master of Science in Sanitation was the only graduate program entirely dedicated to non-sewered sanitation. Since 2019, this program has been adopted/adapted by dozens of universities worldwide and respective programs are added to the list below, as they are launched.
